Where are your Linen Sheets made?

We only stock pure Linen sheets made in Europe. The whole process from the growing, the fabric making and product sewing is all done in Europe.

We use French flax fibers, which are the best in the world. We deal directly with the grower in France. Thy process the fibers and make the fabric for us. Its then sent to Portugal for sewing and packaging.

Why do we only stock European made linen?

Cheaper linens are normally produced in China  or India which we know is an unregulated market, meaning they have very little standards or rules about how the product is made.

Not only is the product inferior most linens made in China contain chemicals such as silicon's and formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a chemical that has been linked to illnesses and cancer.

I am 100% committed and focused on sustainability, durability and expert craftmanship, Europe has been make linen for 100's of years. Many of the mills are still operating, they take pride in a quality product rather than a quick buck and supplying the millions.. guaranteeing you a Linen of supreme quality.

I have spent years learning about the best flax linen, finding the best flax growers, processing mills and sewing factories.  

Why are your sheets better?

Europeans have been making flax linen for generations, they are experts in flax linen. many are still using traditional family mills. Although technology has  advanced their values and standards haven't.

They are passionate about Linen, how its made and the quality of the flax fibers.

Our Linen is made with high-quality 100% pure natural materials.
When creating and designing a new luxury Linen collection, first and foremost I focus on quality; quality of the original fibers, the condition of the crop at harvest.

Then the milling process, it doesn’t matter how good the Flax crop is... it needs to be processed with care and respect. This is why we only get our linen fabric made in Europe.

These people have been milling French Flax linen for 100’s of years. Many of the mills we deal with are traditional family owned and run mills.

We deal with directly with a flax linen grower in France, they grow the crop and process the fiber. The raw fibers are then sold to fabric mills around the world to be woven into the linen fabric.

Here at Majesté Linens we ensure the whole process is done in Europe, I have spent years researching linen mills and factories around the world, including China and India. Both markets are completely unregulated, meaning they have very little or no standards or rules about how the product is made.

Including child labor, terrible working conditions, massive amounts of nasty chemicals used in the processing and no respect for the environment.

Our linen suppliers are a family-owned French company, the have been perfecting the art of Linen processing and passing it down from generation to generation, first established on the banks of the Lys, in the heart of the Flemish country, From sewing the seed to harvesting the fiber right through to the pure washed linen, they are dedicated to all stages of the linen processing with a high quality requirements & authentic European origin.

Using ecologically sensitive means & clean technology, They've been perfecting their craft since the 1920’s, and they produce some of the most beautiful weaves we've ever seen. Our linen yarns are made from high quality long fiber French Flax. Our product is then woven, dyed and sewn in Europe & the Baltics - the regions that are best know for their history and expertise in producing the highest quality linens.
